Colloidal Oatmeal is oatmeal that has been milled into an ultra-fine powder. In this form, it adheres to dirt and oil on the skins surface, which can then be gently rinsed away, taking any impurities with it. Oat proteins leave a protective barrier on the skin, which prevents water loss thus helping maintain moisture. Colloidal oatmeal has been proven to soothe and relieve dry and irritated skin associated with itching.
